Good-bye

What a wonderful year we've had! Everyone has grown in so many ways and we've had a lot of fun. I'm so proud of all your child has learned and the wonderful character you have instilled in them. Our end of the year party, thanks to you, was great. And I absolutely love my plate. It's sitting on my buffet in my dining room. I just need the picture to sit beside it. Have a wonderful summer!!

The Magic Tree House

The 1st grade classes at Walhalla went to the Peace Center on Wednesday to see the Magic Tree House in King Arthur's Court. The play was wonderful and the students were wonderfully behaved. After the play, we returned to Pendleton for a picnic at the park there. We had a great time and were quite tired by the time we arrived at Walhalla Elementary!

Miss Courtney Orr is our Teacher Cadet and is loved by all our students. She loves children and we have really enjoyed having her help this semester.

Career Day

Our class got a real treat for Career Day. Brady's mom, Christa, came to teach us about toxins in our homes and how to avoid them. The students especially liked the volcano Mrs. Robinson made using baking soda and vinegar. SO.....don't be surprised if they want to try it at home. SPRING HAS SPRUNG!

Well, today has been absolutely marvelous. I believe spring weather makes us all happy. The downside to this is the hour of sleep we lost over the weekend and I don't believe any of us were awake today! So I don't know how much we learned BUT we were smiling all during the day (at least, most of us were).

We have learned all kinds of info about Dr. Suess this week. We've read his books, watched a movie and had lots of fun. Ask your child what his/her favorite story is and read it together.
